In the fall of 2023 Ruth created The Saunder Strong Odyssey – A legacy foundation designed to help cover travel expenses while on tour.
Saunder was involved with 3 Strings as a mentor working alongside neurodivergent musicians throughout his entire High School career. He loved the bond he formed with bandmates, playing music, and adventure. Saunder’s involvement with 3 Strings made a massive impact on his life and was a highlight of his High School career.
Tragically, Saunder lost his life in a kayak accident on May 5th, 2023. His kind heart and quick wit will always be missed.
Recipients of the Saunder Strong Odyssey are supported with funds for travel and other essential needs.
